In 2015, Molina created a romantic and self-reflective body of work. No Need to Assert Thyself Loudly, is one in a series of three paintings that dealt with the plurality of a person’s identity. The artist considered each painting in the series to be a self-portrait. The chair in this image represents intensity and assertiveness held within. This complexity inspired a palette that is both bold and elegant.
