I’m a fashion designer, I went to college at Universidad de Monterrey and graduated in 2017.
When I was 9 years old my grandma taught me how to knit, at first I only knitted simple things. It was until I was in college that I started slowly incorporating knitting in my school assignments and that’s how I fell in love with it again, because it allows me to experiment with textures and shapes, I like to play with the yarn and the needles and see what I get from it. Also what I like about knitting is that it is a zero waste technique, where I only use what I need and the ending strand is woven into the garment. After I finished college I worked for a Mexican luxury brand. I was in the embroidery department, where I learned different techniques. I really enjoy doing this type of job where I get to work with my hands. I plan to create my own knitwear brand soon and create jobs for women in my community.
