Brad Stumpf is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist from St. Louis, Missouri. He attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2015.
The collages in this series were created as an exercise of memory. Each represents a moment, or place in the artist's past. Each collage, through its creation, allowed Stumpf to relive the moment depicted. He began each collage by painting paper with acrylic paint. Then, through a process of cutting, layering, and pasting, he built up an image capable of conjuring a specific moment in time.
