THE TALE Images from different memories are layered on this panel using both image transfers and oil paint to create a dream-like pictorial space. I see nature as a metaphor for time. I manipulate fragments from the natural environment such as flowers, weeds, and everyday objects that I collect from places like my backyard or from loved ones; to cast or transfer onto a surface in order to attempt to preserve the memories connected to these beings, specimens, objects, and plants. In the effort to preserve beauty, I invariably confront a loss of image and the grotesque may appear. I am in constant awe of nature and obsessed with documenting it. Knowing the beauty will fade, decay, rot, and discolor, I want to savor the moment. |
B&T has a 14-day return policy. Whenever an artwork / art object does not satisfy upon arrival, the customer should notify B&T, and a return protocol will be set forth. The customer will be refunded in full minus shipping costs once the artwork / art object has arrived at Bird & Tale’s location in Chicago.
If one of our items is returned due to damages that happened during shipping, B&T will recommend the Artist to restore, or replace the item, and B&T will cover shipping costs to/from the artist studio back to the customer.
